Default Printer ICC profiles

Do I need to enable this function on Q-Image?
I purchased the full version of Q-Image, and the ICC profile for my C-700UZ.
I set up the program to use the C-700 profile for input and the generic monitor profile (sRGB) for the monitor output.
I'm not sure what to do about the printer, or if I need to. It's an HP Photosmart 7550.
Any info would be appreciated.

Printer profiles are something that can help eliminate color issues if you are having any. If you are happy with your output, there is really no need to use a printer profile. Some printers respond OK to simply using sRGB as the printer profile even though you'll get a warning that it isn't a true printer profile. If the print driver is reasonably good and you are using paper that is supported specifically in the driver, you may be able to get away with just using sRGB as your printer ICC. If you start to notice color issues or you want the best possible color match in prints, you may want to check out a profiling tool like http://www.ddisoftware.com/prism or check to see if your printer is supported on our printer profile site (your HP is not): http://www.ddisoftware.com/printerprofiles
