I can't seem to set up Qimage to print decent photos. The colours are coming out very flat and washed out.

My set up is as follows:
  • camera: pictures are taken in JPEG formatwith a Nikon D70 (colour space in camera is sRGB I) [/*]
  • operating system:Windows XP [/*]
  • monitor:LG Studioworks 575N [/*]
  • printer: Canon i865[/*]
Could some kind soul please take me step by step through the proper set up for each element of the workflow?

I am totally confused about what settings to use, even after reading the online help for Qimage, eg whetherI need to do something to the images taken from the Nikon D70, which profiles to use, what settings to use in the printer set up or whether to leave them alone.

I'm sure it's me, butjust can't seem to get my head round it and apply it to my set up.

Many, many thanks,

I think my article here at Steve's might help:

If the colors are flat and washed out, it sounds like you just need to find and activate the proper profile. If the above article still leaves you with questions, just reply here and we'll dig deeper.
