What i am looking for is a camera model and SDK that can support remote capture and transfer over usb continuously. I am looking to use two cameras and my own software run some computer vision algorithms, but what i cant seem to find is any references for the frame rates vs resolution available from different cameras.

Are there any sdks out there where i can get around 10-15fps at a lower resolution, then swap over to full resolution in software?

Does anyone have ball park figures for capture rates of different manufacturer cameras?

I have been looking at the Olympus E-500 for something to play with, does anyone know what capture rate this can do, the sdk docs are quite vague.

At the moment im using IP-cameras, running 640x480 at 30fps,and the limiting factor is the really low resolution. What im looking for is something that can give me 1280x1024+ at 10-15fps.

I am seeking a webcam with zoom, no audio, and a 10-15 fps is just fine..
