Default Motion Activated Shutter Release For Digital Camera

I need a motion activated shutter release for my Canon G3 digital camera. I have a deer feeder in my back yard. I see their tracks in the mud & snow, but, I rarely see the deer because they only come in the middle of the night.

I want to set my G3 on a tripod in the garage looking out the back window. I need a motion sensor to trip the shutter when the deer come up to the feeder.

I keep thinking of doing this as well. Every spring I notice a light trail running at the back edge of our property, but have rarely seen anything back there... pretty sure it's deer as well.

Many of the DigiSnap controllers can be triggered by a contact closure or simple sensor circuit... I 'd like to rig up a couple lasers / reflectors and photosensors to detect a beam crossing, to trigger a DigiSnap, which in turn triggers a digital camera. The G3 isn't compatible, but the Coolpixies and many other cameras are. Maybe someday...

Here is what you need: http://www.pixcontroller.com

We manufacture a control board which controls many different types of digital cameras and camcorders based on motion. Once motion is sensed the board will trigger the attached camera.
