I am very new to all of this digital techno stuff, and was wondering, can I take my pics under email quality, then change them to a better quality later, depending on whether I wan't to print it or email it? Hope this doens't sound too corny

thanks for any advice

There are some ways of interpolating images to larger sizes, but they won't be as good of quality as an originally larger picture. I don't have a sony cybershot, but I would think it would be a lot easier to take a large shot and downsize it rather than the other way around. You supplied software should have a simple way to do this.

The first rule of digital photography is
Save your original photos exactly as they come from the camera with no changes whatsoever.
Those are your digital negatives, don't mess with them. Almost all changes are irreversible and loose information. Even though throwing away some information (e.g. cropping) might improve the photo, it cannot be recovered if you decide later you could do a better job latter.
