Default Ricoh CX2 and CX3

Ricoh a high respected producer of an extensive line of office and commercial copiers, has produced for years produced a small line of consumer cameras.

The latest two from this manufacturer are the CX2 and CX3 models that on paper are feature rich cameras within the compact zoom category. They use a CMOS imager, have 920K pixels in the LCD screen, with fast 1.3 second shot to shot ***es, and a working HDR mode that merges two photos together. Reviews show that the cameras are able to record an amazing amount of detail.

These might be cameras to watch.

Always did like my Ricoh film camera, however tend to shy away from the digital cameras. Either you love or hate a Ricoh digital camera. Reviews always seem to be mixed. Since Ricoh tends to produce cameras in limited amounts, they are always hard to find in your local store. Thus try before you buy is not an option. The CX3 price is pretty close to a G11 and LX3.

After reading the reviews, I think my next purchase will be a Ricoh CX1. 5 out of 6 reviewers gave this camera high praise in image quality. 1 completely dogged it. The sample shots looked very sharp, crisp and clean. Will find out soon enough...
