I am very interested in this camera. As a newspaper reporter and photo journalist, I would love to haul around something that small. Lenses, however, are a problem in that they are nearly as big for a decent size zoom. Make an 18-200 in a small, light size and I'm there.

Micro 4/3 with the 2x crop factor and the new olympus m4/3 lens 14-150 giving you 28-300mm of reach. About the same as the 18-200 with aps-c.

Good point. I've tried this lens on the Panasonic micro camera. Although small, it is heavy.

The new micro 4/3 version of the 14-150 form olympus is smaller and lighter then the panasonic 14-140 HD that you tried witch is a heavy lens.

Will the Olympus lens work with the Samsung? I would be interested in the EP, but I really need an optical viewfinder and I can't see that rickity top add-on lasting 20 seconds in the field.

no the samsung only works with samsung lenses. The olympus will work on panasonic camera and panasonic will work on Olympus. As panasonic, olympus are both micro 4/3 cameras, so they shear a common format.

DD i guess you are changing the aperture on a canon body and then holding dof preview when you take off the lens and then put it to the adapter to change aperture

that is such a royal pain and is why i never got a m4/3 to EOS adapter

Yeeeees - very fast done!
But I also have a lot of Canon lenses WITH aperture ring - f.e. Samyang 8mm/14mm/85mm :-)

Full automatic is for lazy people ... I'm coming from a time, where ALL was manual :-) ... focus, aperture, shutter ...
