"On the pricier side is the NV24HD, which combines a 10-megapixel still camera with an HD camcorder. You also get an HDMI interface for showing home movies on an HD TV set. Look for it in March, priced at $350."

Having been more satisfied with my Samsung Digimax i6 than I have ever been with any camera, and which I've used as my main camera for two years, these new "i" and "NV" series cameras probably are very attractive offerings. Some of them lack mp3 players, and all lack the folding screen. Otherwise they are excellent alternatives to the hybrids.
