Default Samsung ES28 faulty

Does anyone know if the ES28 is noted for any faults?
Mine is less than 18 months old and not much used, took less than 500 with this camera and it has packed up completely.
Bought new batteries and card for it and it still will not even switch on.
Does anyone know if this is a manufacturing fault that happends regularly?
Many thanks
E (from panny forum)

Thanks Ryan, I sent the camera to the rubbish tip long ago now and won't buy another Samsung ever.
