Samsung is announcing the i6 PMP camera at CES 2006. It's also a PMP (Personal Media Player) as it can playback music (MP3s) and videos files. Limited info at dpreviewfor now, expect more info at CES.

Lots of reviews on the i6 now. Here's one of the better ones:

I have one on order, and had a look at one at a store today. Surprisingly small, and has a nice high quality feel to it.

Unfortunately there doesn't appear to be any video samples. A lot of review sites seem to leave those samples out which is ridiculous considering that youmight belooking atone of these mainly for it's video recording! This is one of the reasons that stevesdigicams.com is one of my favorite review sites, inthat he includes video samples in his reviews.

I was interested to find out the i6 uses a Zoran COACH 8 camerachip. Though I didn't like the Zoran Coach-based Digilife DDV-810, the i6 is an excellent effort.
