I placed order for my DMX-HD1000 and should arrive this weekend (Requested my Japanese colleague who is back to his hometown for the New Year Holiday to purchase for me)

I owned a Panasonic Tape type VideoCam. My last trip to Hongkong (6 days), I used up 4 tapes. That's about 4 hours of videos.

If I get a 16GB SDHC card for my HD1000, I can get close to 3 hours, plus the 4GB (40mins) SDHC which comes with the HD1000 should be sufficient for my next trip. Only planning to use Full HD mode.

Researched various forums and found that the following 16GB SDHC works on HD1000.

1) A-DATA 16GB Class 6 SDHC

2) Transcend 16GB Class 6 SDHC

The A-DATAdisplays 2hours 48minutes and 50sec on the LCD. The user at the other forum says that there is no problem with shooting, copying to PC etc.

Will post further findings when I get hold of my HD1000 and the A-Data 16GB SDHC.

If anyone had used any 16GB SDHC without any problem, please share with all of us.

Thanks.

I hope you'll keep us posted on how this 16GB card works out for you, especially in terms of speed and reliability.

Received my HD1000 last week and the 16GB A Data SDHC Class 6 card yesterday.

The A-Data 16GB SDHC card has no problem in myHD1000. Remaining time displayed is 2hrs 48mins 50secs. Did a Full Format using the HD1000 before carrying out recording.

Speed wise, not sure cos there's nothing to compare with.

So far, the following 16GB SDHC card can work in our HD1000 but remaining time displayed have some differences :

<Under Full-HD mode>

A-Data, Transcend : 2:48:50

What 4gb SDHC that comes with it? Maybe I missed something, but mine didn't have a card with it at all...
