Default DivX codec in Sony Vegas

Wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

When I use DivX codec 6.8.5 Codec in .avi and set it up for 1280x720 it ends up stretching the video lengthwise, so everyone looking many pounds heavier. Not a good look.

The render speed, file size and image quality are all very good with this codec, but obviously it can't just be straight forward.

This is the only file format/codec that this has happened in.

Any ideas?

Cresho is right. I've never had this problem because I always make sure it's set to 1:1 pixel ratio. I've used xViD, DivX, MainConcept AVC (mp4), etc and it's worked great every time.

*EDIT - By the way, the xViD codec is superior on many counts. Lower file size with equal quality. Of course, this is only important when file size matters. Therefore I use xViD on my MP3 player which supports xViD (as well as DivX). The player is the Cowon S9, true widescreen too.
