I'm using a Toshiba laptop with Vista basic. Have no problems with videos doenloaded from my Canon Elf camera, which show in my pictures as "video clip" and play with Windows Media Player. The images are fine.
I just bought a CG10. The videos show in my pictures as "MPEG4 movie" with a Q designation, and play back through Apple Quicktime Player. The images are very jerky. If I open one of these videos using Windows Media Player I get audio but no video. Help! |

your camera cg10:
Looking at the specifications, it states Videos: ISO standard MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 (.MP4) Audio: 48kHZ sampling, 16bit, 2ch, AAC HD-SHQ: 1280 x 720 (30 fps/ 9Mbps) Your media player: you need to check your codec availability on your system http://www.downloadatoz.com/codecs/c...ysis-tools.php look atWindows XP Video Decoder Checkup Utility doanload it from here http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...CHECKSetup.EXE after you checked your codec availability, you can determine if you are missing it but you can just install xp codec pack http://www.xpcodecpack.com/ if this did not work, post and ill give you another codec pack that will work. |

perhaps you should consider giving Videolan a try (VLC). Most useful codecs are built-in the application, so there is no need for codec packs.
I know it plays clips from my CG65 (h.264 mp4), from the HD700, from the CG10, from the sanyo FH1, from the aiptek GVS, from the Panasonic LX3 and ZS3, and many more. It requires very little CPU to do this, so the clips play smooth
