since you can now find the 1010 for about half the price of a 2000

I bought the HD1010. While the HD2000 1080p/60fps mode is nice, I really couldn't justify paying up to twice the price for it. Plus they took out the 720/60fps mode which is easier to work with on less powerful computers. Of course I could've gone with the FH1 but I much prefer pistol grip design.
For $350 I can look at the HD1010 as a pretty nice upgrade to my Sanyo C40. |

I bought HD2000, because it was only Sanyo HD camcorder available in my local shop. Other reason was that HD2000 has 8MP pictures compared to HD1010 4MP. My computer can't handle Full-HD video smoothly, but I can always look videos and pictures from my TV. There is also join/split editing inside camera for quick editing without computers.
