I've been trying to get the video from my HD700 to play on my Xbox360. Gspot shows it as H.264, which I think the Xbox supports, but I get error code 80-C00DF242 when trying to play them. I also used Mp4can2avi, but still no good. Anyone else get it to work?

I have an HD1000 not an HD700 but my files play flawlessly in both my XBox360 and PS3. Is your system up to date? Do you have it connected to the internet?

Here's a 10 second clip off my HD700 at HD-SHQ. Could you try running it through your Xbox360 and see if it plays?

Thanks. Do you know where I could download an HD1000 native clip, just as it came off the camera?

LOL, yeah dude... check out my thread: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fo...mp;forum_id=27 The bottom of my post has some decent clips. None of them compare though to the fantastic quality of the video clips I took on my recent Cancun trip - excellent HD quality. But being the wife and I are in most of the clips I haven't gotten around to posting them yet -she'd rather I edit us out  Rev. |

Well now I'm confused. I have deleted the media update and redownloaded it. I have Dash version 2.0.6683.0.
My other question would be, does your Dash version match mine and are you viewing the videos through the Media Center or the regular Videos section? Also, are you using any transcoding on the fly software on your PC, or just WMP to share to the Xbox. Your help is appreciated. |

I'm taking the files directly from the camera, putting them on a USB memory stick, and playing them through the standard "Videos" section in the XBox interface. It shows the file on the stick and plays without problem. I don't know what version of the dashboard I have. Can't check now, getting ready for work.
