Default Sanyo's new lineup only capture video at 1080i (interlaced)?

Hello fellow members,

I just read about Sanyo's new linup (VPC-CG20, VPC-GC100, VPC-GH1, VPC-SH1, VPC-CS1) and as far as I can tell they all capture video at 1920x1080i (interlaced) at 16 Mbit/s.

The current model and the one I'm planning to buy, the FH1/FH1A, captures true Full-HD at 1920x1080p (progressive) at 24 Mbit/s.

Why do the new lineup only capture Interlaced video and why only at 16 Mbit/s? Interlaced video looks bad in my opinion.

Will the current FH1/FH1A outperform the new lineup?

English is not my native language but I hope you understand what I'm writing anyway.

What I have read that it is 1080p/30frames per second and 1080i/60 field per second, they only left out 60 frames per second which isn't included in blu-ray specifications, so it is quite reasonable why it is left out since there isn't supported media devices (blu-ray players) available.

Atleast new models has 35mm wider angle lens, which is good news.

30X zoom and still no OIS, I would like to see how they accomplish to stabilize video with DIS only.

24 Mbps is only available with iFrame format.
