My HD1000 has a hard time focusing in low light, for example: indoors with light on, it will just search for focus but cant really find it. Sometimes it will get the right focus but very slowly, about 3-5 seconds to get it into that right focus. In the daylight it seems to work fine, so does anybody else is experiencing the same issue? or could that be normal?

Thanks

Yes, indoors and low light you really have to lock the focus, thank goodness for the programmable shortcuts. Without focus lock, the HD1000 will still hunt on autofocus if the object moves even slightly.

It's relatively easy to lock in AF- you can set it as an option on the joystick and a simple press up will lock AF (you'll see a slock symbolAF). Here's a sample clip indoors with AF locked-

Thanks alot guys, it looks that I am not alone and my HD1000 is not defective. I got my AF Lock programed into the shortcuts so it should help with the focus.

The autofocus on the HD1000 is crap anyway, you should turn it off.
