Is there any way to show the date/time when play back, particularly on a PC and after it has been converted to AVI/DVD?

No, but the file date/time stamp should be correct. If edit your videos onto DVD, then you could add the time and date, at the beggining, for example.

Pity.

It does not help really.

I am filming a baby a few minutes a time and I really want the date recorded onto it when it is played back continuously with many clips joined together.

Probably only editing the video and imbedding the time would do it.

I'm going to play with Vegas a bit tonight and see what I can (or can't) do with it. I think for a lot of people the date/time implant on video was more just to know when it was shot, now with digital cameras storing that information into the files (for both video and stills) I guess manufacturers have seen it as less important to have in the actual video.
