I just bought a VPC-C6 and a Transcend 4GB 150x SD card. From what I understand, I need a formatted card that is over 8MB to perform the upgrade. I went to put the 4GB Transcend card in the camera and format it; however, when the camera starts up, it says "Card Full". I do a full format, and it still says "Card Full". Is this because:

a) The camera won't work at all with the 4GB card without first doing the firmware upgrade

or

b) The card is not compatible with the VPC-C6 (although I thought I read that this one should work)

If a, then have people bought a separate SD card just to do the firware upgrade?

As for non-compatible cards, what typically happens when you put them in?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Mike

The C6 can only use SD cards up to 2GB before the firmware upgrade, use a smaller card to perform the upgrade.
