I'm using a 4 gig card with my HD1a. I took a bunch of vids the other day and wanted to join them in the camera but when I tried the camera said there wasn't enough space on the memory card. So, I'm looking for a recommendation for software I can use to join videos into one bigger video. Also, can someone tell me the difference between "joining" videos and "merging" videos?

Thanks in advance.

I assumed merge and join were the same but have seen in the descriptions of different software both words being used in the same sentence. Thanks again for the help.

Best,

I've dowloaded Squared 5 but am having trouble figuring it out. I've read the guide but still don't understand how to join multiple clips. If you have a moment, I know it's asking a lot, but could you explain it? I'm wondering if the MP4 have to be converted first...

Thanks.

Virtualdub is a free video editing program but I haven't used it to join vids.

omh65, to join: start MPEG_Streamclip.exe,select File-> Open Files..., select all of the .MP4 files you want to join then click Open. Then, selectFile -> Save As..., type in the name you want for thejoined .MP4 file, save as type: MP4, clickSave.
