I read this on a Amazon.com users review of a C6.
"..... the camera picks up the sound of its own zoom and auto-focus, which makes the video unacceptable in my opinion. The clicking and whirring is louder than the level of normal conversation. "
Anybody else expierience this?
I'm thinking of getting a CG6 and I would hate it if the audio was unusable.

vcirilli, the CG6 has significantly reduced the mechanical noise compared to the C6, the optical zoomis very quiet now. Check out thecomparison provided by blindsight between the C6 and CG6 in this forum.

Hi, I'm new here :-) I couldn't wait to get a CG6, so I bought one last week from eBay. I wanted to take videos of a special event last weekend. It worked out pretty well, but I figured out some settings (not auto everything) that would have worked better for me. So far, I'm really enjoying its simplicity, size and quality. I bought it primarily for videos of my kids, since I'm a Canon Rebel XT/350D user for stills.

I saw that the CG6 made it to the Walmart site a couple of days ago:

I ran across this clip about the CG6 that's from QVC-UK:

I have the same question as Bluedragon. Other than the video codec, what's the difference? Is the quality better? Is anything else better,....or worse?,....or even different. When you read the descriptions in Sanyo's release, they sound the same except for the video codec.

Price for CG65 just went up from $399 to $429. Sucks! CG6 from Walmart still $299. The video samples of CG6 from sanyo website look pretty good to me. Maybe I will just go get the CG6 first and upgrade to HD camcoder one year later.

My WalMart got the CG6 in, and I bought one. I'll post a comparison to the C40.

Yes, got it in the local store, the guy said that they had just put them out yesterday. It was displayed with the other cameras and they had two plus the display.
