Hi Guys,
I'm interested in getting a hybrid. I'm trying to decide between the HD2 and CG6. $ isin't an issue. HD isin't really that big of a plus for me.
I'm interested in getting the best picture/audio quality. ( from a hybrid )
Will the HD2 running in SD mode do a better job than the CG6 ?
Any advise?

When I bought my C6 about 6 months ago, I weighed it against the HD1a. I seem to remember that the HD1a had a 6 Mbps SD mode (but my memory may be faulty) . The HD2 has the same 3 Mbps SD as the C6 and a new 720 × 480 pixels, 30 fps, 3.5 Mbps mode (which might be better for conversion to DVDs). The HD2 also has a better (or at least bigger) lense, but for SD use its bandwidth is no better than the C6. I decided the C6 at $399 made more sense than the HD1a at $699. The HD2 is clearly a better camera, but now there's improvements to the C series, too. If you don't care about the HD mode it may be worth waiting a few weeks to look at the CG65, for example.

Thanks for the replie SPOFF.
I think I'll wait and look at both before I decide.
