Hello, 9mbps mentioned, but anybody know what is recommended for this device as an appropriate speed memory chip? I would like to maxamize device speed without getting into a 'waste your money / overkill situation'.

Can not find at Sanyo website or any place I have searched... Weird, or perhaps I just do not understand the correlation of 9mbps to recommended memory chip.

'Class 3' chip fit well into unit's capibilities?

I can go this faster 20mb/s route but is that too fast for this unit and a waste? http://www.sandisk.com/Products/Catalog(1027)-SanDisk_Extreme_III_CompactFlash.aspx t

Any SD/SDHC card will do (as long as it's in good working condition, of course).

The lowest SDHC class 2 is 2MB/s, which is 16Mbps. Even very basic unrated SD cards are generally at least "10x" based on that old 1x = 150KB/s flash RAM rule, which is 12Mbps. They are allhigher speedthan the HD2's needs for it's highestbit rate. This is one of the benefitsof an efficient codec, unlike other digicams which might record in an unefficient codec; you don'thave to buy premium priced cards, unless you want to.

So you don't need anything special in terms of speed for your HD2. The major benefit you will get from faster cards is thatfiles will transfer to your PC faster.
