Hi,

One of the reasons I purchased Sanyo VPC-CG6 is that it allows taking still picture while taking video. However, I found that if I do it, video will pause for a second or two. It seems CG6 doesn't have parallel processing ability to process both still pic and video at the same time.

Is it normal or do I have a defect unit? If it's normal, can a faster SD card improve it (meaning make the above-mentioned pause time shorter)? How fast the SD card should be to improve it, x150, xxMB/sec,or what?

Thanks,

Lee

It's normal,a coupleofseconds for a full 6MP still while filming TV-SHQ. I was used to itfrom my previous C6. I think the pause reduces relative to the still resolution. I don't know if the SD card speed affects the time. There is also the possibilityto extract a low res. still from the video laterusing the camera.

Thanks for confirming it. At least I dont' have to worry about my unit has defects.

Did any one try to take still pic while videoing with the latest Sanyo HD2? Does HD2 have the same issue? I hope HD2 has a faster processor so the pausing time is shorter.

Thanks,

Lee
