Hi folks,

I've just received a new Xacti CG65 which I bough off of eBay, and I love it except for one major problem. When recording the camera microphone also captures the sounds of the internal workings of the camera (i'm guessing). I've played around with alot of the settings with no luck.

Does anybody know of any good solutions to this, or is a defect with the cg65? I can post videos online if anybody would like to see a sample.

I'm really hoping that i won't have to send it back to Hong Kong.

Thanks,
John

John,..I have the CG65 and haven't noticed the problem with noise while recording. I haven't recorded in a particularly quiet setting though.

Hi jcrowbar, see my response in this post (<- click) for some ways to reduce or eliminate it.

Hi,

Thanks for that, it makes alot of sense, and i did notice an improvement in proper environments. I guess i won't be shipping anything for a while.

Cheers
