Thank you for your quick answer.

I have a desktop with windows 2000 , Pentium4, 524 kb ram, 80 gb hard disk + 250 gb external hard disk.

I have also a notebook with windows xp, 524 ram, 80 gb hard disk.

For the software I have an old version of pinnacle studio 8 but I thought that the Hd 1000 have is own software, it is not so ?

Thank you,

Roberto

Last night I converted about 10mins of HD Video (1920 x 1080) using ULEAD to burn a regular DVD (720 x 480) for the first time. This video was captured using HD1000 the day before.

It took 8+ hrs!!!

I used my laptop which is latest and greatest with Duo Core 2 (2.2GHz) with 2GB of memory. I am assuming most of the time was spent on transcoding. While this was happening one core was 90%+ busy and other core was 50%+ busy (overall 70%+) ...

Is this typical ?

I was hoping to do all my captures at HD and then create regular DVDs (720x480) to pass it to family and friends but if just 10mins is going to take 8+ hrs than I am stuck.

Is there a better/quicker way of doing this ?

roberto, i think u have 2 upgrade ur pc 2 handle both Sanyo HD 700 and 1000. the software comes with d camera is just ok but not professionaly..it's just a basic. in case dat u want 2 buy a software 2 edit HD movies better 2 get Pinnacle Studio 11 ultimate or if u want a cheaper software 2 edit HD get "Ulead Video Studio 11 Plus"
