Do you feel Digital Noise Reduction actually helps or hearts the quality of the shoot?

Personally I leave it off, if I need to remove noise I do it through a video editing program. Have not really noticed any major difference with it on or off but I have not tested it much.

Just a heads up, Amazon currently has the HD1000 for $679.99.

Dang, that's a good deal. I payed $10 more than that from B&H Photo including shipping.

Shot some dirtsuring/kitewing footage with my HD1000 this weekend. I'm pretty pleased. Except the "digital image stabalization" I think doesn't work too well. I wonder if that firmware update helps that?

720p, converted to mpeg at a high bit rate. 68mb 1:17 video

Sonic - Which program did you use to render the footage?

I am finding finaly that I can get really good video and have decent editing options if I use 720, but some packages take FOREVER to do the rendering and most do not support 60Frames at all. I know Vegas works pretty well, but as far as time goes, are any programs really fast at rendering to either AVI or MPEG2? Any really slow?

If I am not mistaken, Nero 8 will render to MPEG4 well, but the other formats lose the widescreen aspect. Is that right?
