Here is thesound (noise) comparison as an attachment to the image (I sent some days before, updated on 24.12.07). Is this the normal noise of the HD1000?

About the freezing:

I don't think it's a problem specific to my camera. The Amazon page has a thread for people experiencing freezing, seems more common than one specific bad camera. I will film more with the new firmware and see if it has helped.

First problem with my HD1000 and I am angry off!!!!!

I spent all of today filming my son and family on Christmas day and when I get home, copy the files to the pc after a certain file they no longer play. They work fine on the camera but for some reason after file number X they no longer work. Anybody had this problem, it looks like the files are corrupt somehow but work on the camera.

I have tried re-copying but no luck. All previous files work fine but these new ones are not. No change in recording settings, same SD card.....

Please somebody tell me they had this problem and have a solution, I will be really angry off is these files are unusable........

Not even the photos are opening!!!!!!!!!!!! DISASTER!!!!!!!!

The only thing that stands out to me is that I ran a slideshow and the first file in the slideshow is the first one that does not work.... coincidence??????? Does slideshow f**k up the files?????

Could be an SD card issue......the cam has been perfect for me.......try reformatting and see if the error occurs again.
(If you reformat- you'll lose the data on the card forever- so only do this if you can't get the Christmas pix back)

1.) Try to copy it via usb, or if you did this, via a cardreader.

2.) There is a posibility to store it to a externel Harddrive (important: FAT32 formatted)

1)2) Maybe you can read it then.

3.) If you have it already on the PC: Try to open it withanother software

4.) Try to copy it on the cam (cut the video on the beginning or the end, only a little bit and store itas a copy on then cam - perhaps you can read it.

What SD Card do you have?

ok folks, word of warning to you all. My camera stopped working, any video or photos I took do not work on the PC, they work on the camera ok.

I had to reformat the card to get the camera or card (dont know which is at fault but my money is on the camera) back up and running again but now I am stuck with files on my pc that cannot be read. I have tried media fix programs but no luck.

I'm sending this piece of s**t back, cant run the risk of this happening again. I have lost the whole of Christmas day, not acceptable for the money I paid for it. Very Very Very Annoyed!!!!!!!!!
