I hope someone can help me clean up a mess I've got with my CG65.
Here's what happened,……... I have 25 or so video clips on a 2GB card and was showing them to myself on my laptop, with the card inserted in the laptop. My intent was to make a folder on the desktop, then join the clips etc in the camera before making a DVD on my Pansasonic recorder. I thought I was making a folder on the desktop but somehow ended up making a folder on the 2GB disk and putting fifteen clips in it. Subsequently, I subsequently did make a folder on the desktop and have all the clips saved there. Nothing is permanently lost,…..yet.
The problem is that only clips 15 through 25 will play in the camera even though all 25 are on the card. There doesn't seem to be a way to get at the 14 clips that are in the folder that is part the card. I know they are still there because I can open the folder on the card if I insert it into the laptop,…….just not in the C65.
I've tried everything my tired old brain can come up with; including transferring files 1 through 14 back to a blank formatted SD card. It seems to work fine and the time remaining on the card shows that they have transferred. However, they can't be viewed in the camera.
By the way, I had no luck burning the files to a DVD on the laptop. The Vista program doesn't recognize the file type.
Any ideas of what I can try next?
