I carry two cams today , my Aiptek, and my Hd700

Either way they both probably fit in the pocket, the same vs. the hd1000 lol

thee are no good or bad videos. just video missed out due to not having a cam.

I got tons of footage, and had a great spot on the Old Iron and got the full story as he went into a donation speach.

will not post till i am fully edited

Well, I got my camera last thursday and have been so busy playing with it that I haven't posted an update.

I love this camera!

It arrived fine with no problems. Only thing was that the power cord that plugs into the power brick had a european plug. Wasn't a problem as I had a regular north american one sitting around from something else. Works fine, they should probably mention that in the auction though.

The still pictures are amazing, especially when shooting in black and white. I love the macro mode and spent an hour yesterday taking pics of my girlfriend's eyes up close.

Video is great too though I haven't been able to test watching HD footage yet on my monitor.

The only thing I wish it could do is stay on with the screen closed so I could use it for audio recording while it is sitting in my pocket.

You can shoot/record with the screen closed.
Look at the picture.

... Maybe something else interesting for you, data can be written on an usb hd without an external monitor. Beautiful thing if you are on travel.
See the picture.

I do this all the time.. WHat a great feature that I havent seen in other cameras. This feature is going to come in handy when I go on vacation this november and fill up the memory card and need to offload it somewhere.

But there is a catch..... he wanted to use it for audio recording and with the display folded like that, the mics are up against the camera body.
