Recieved my HD700 yesterday and first impressions:

Love the look and feel! it really is smaller than i expected! Im glad i got brown it looks so classy!

I havnt read the manual but i pick up on things pretty fast and i think i have most of the settings down!

My only gripe is low light, but i knew it wasnt going to be goo dfrom reviews id seen and comments on here. I have learnt generally not to put the ISO above 200 if i am indoors or the noise just gets too bad! You guys have any tips!?

The same with photos indoors that use the flash, i set the iso to 50 or 100 before i take them and they dont have any noise with the flash.

Its forecast a really overcast and rainy weekend here in London so i wont be getting any decent footage in the next few days! but with any footage i do get ill always put it on my Vimeo page. So keep checking back!

EDIT: I wont link the ebay item but it is a magnetic wide angle adapter.. Magnetic inner ring is 22.5mm and outer is 27mm... Is this compatible with the HD700?

Hi Craig

Trying to decide between the HD1000 and the 700. Where did you buyyour 700 from in the UK?

Cheers

Hey rdesouza,

I got my HD700 from a website called www.simplyelectronics.co.uk

They have all the colours in stock and also it is the cheapest i could find them anywhere in the UK because in the hihstreet shops they seem o be about £350!

The item actually shipped from Hong Kong but had a UK plug and was the UK version of the camera so nothing to worry about. Also placed the order on a monday and recieved it on wednesday. So free and speedy delivery!

I believe they also stock the HD1000 for £370

If you want the hd700 today argos do it for approx £12.49 more £262.49, if you purchased last week they were giving you a £10 gift voucher. You could try a price match + 10% difference in currys but they wouldn't do it for me in the lakeside branch although the price promise adverts state they will, maybe I got an arsehole of a manager that wouldnt do it.

thanks Craig

The only thing I worry abut wth both the 700 and 1000 is the image stabilization. Whats it like on the 700?
