Nice shoot and music ;-)))
You write that with movie studio you are limited to mpeg and wmv export
Could you try to encode the ORIGINAL MP4 with the free very simple and speed programm Mp4Cam2AVI.exe ?

--> AND UPLOAD IT somewhere IN AVI ?

Or upload an ORIGINAL MP4 SAMPLE on VIMEO or BLIP.TV ?
Could be a very interesting test ...

Mp4Cam2AVI here:

Hey Anjoy!

I uploaded one of the clips used in the vid for you onto Vimeo.

Unfortunately I only have the final version with music and all in .wmv format.

Thanks for the comments Fishy!

Wow fishy those snowflakes are awesome! Great vid! Do you use the beach/snow setting when shooting snow!? I presume it just lowers the EXP compensation to avoid blowouts?

Here are a few vids i have made just testing things out. People may find them useful.

Craig
when you edit on elements, what format do you export the finished product in to keep it in HD?

Ive uninstalled elements now but the videos i did make on it i exported as quicktime .mov files! I think there was a 720p template already i just changed the bitrate to 9000kb a second!

Hope that helps.

The items on the pic seem to me like the smaller mount conversion lenses which are likely to vignette.

They have some wide/tele kits on larger mounts on their official website though.

I just bought an "M-Power" lens alleged to be "Made in Japan" (bought from an online retailer). However, the quality of the image through it is less than that of the lens in my HD700 alone, and it doesn't focus well. There is no focus at all possible once the optical zoom level exceeds 50%. Here is what it looks like:

Is this the same "Phoenix" lens? Could somebody who has a satisfactorily working Phoenix please compare the appearance of the lenses for me, I would be very appreciative.

ps: yes, I know the "appearance" may not tell us anything...:G I expect this is a Chinese copy, rather than a Japanese product

pps: SEE BELOW - THIS IS CONFIRMED AS A LOW QUALITY CHINESE RIP-OFF

Hi!

It seems I'm having a problem with my HD700..
Check out this clip:

http://www.vimeo.com/830664

The sound is louder from the left speaker then from the right one!

I don't have the camera here with me right now, so I'm not sure if I activated the 'anti-wind' option. (If it has anything to do with it?)

Anyone else got this problem?

Thanks!

I just got a wide angle from ebay aswell. Its horrible and nothing like the Phoenix alot of people are using on this site! Heres a quick example i posted on Vimeo:
http://www.vimeo.com/871127

Also, i went to Hamburg for the day yesterday and took quite alot of video/photos.
Its the first chance ive had to test out the photo capabilities of the hd700. All in all im pleased with the photos it produces in good lighting and easily compares with other point and shoot digital cameras. Heres a few examples on Flickr: http://flickr.com/photos/craigyc/
