They should credit you a difference to the lowest price of the day?

I would think there be a limit to the credit after certain purchase days, but why cause havic . I asked a site when Purchased my camera the camera is lower at this site andothers will you issue me a difference, they said "NO" so a return was wasmade at the store losing shippingthat was a few dollars then a price difference.

On the HD 700

is there or are there sample shots of the Barral distortion and low light? thank you

Well for me I pass the deal but sure there wil be some later on

Is there anybody or anywhere that a proper HD700 and HD1000 comparison has been done? People who have both have said the HD1000 is much better but some actual detailed comparisons would be great......

Hi Amazon has raised their prices today from $299.

Wanted to know those that got credit $100 did you get credit yesterday the 4thor today the 5th? Will amazon credit others back $100 now that the price went up?

Thank you in advance.
I requested a credit on the 4th. My guess is that they will credit the difference between the current price and the price you paid, provided it was a recent purchase.

As of this second the brown one is $350, silver is $518, and red is $380. Silver used to be the least expensive one, who knows what they're doing.

There were some barrel distortion images posted by rgvcam on page 13.

Not sure about any low light samples. One thing I'd do is take the camera's ISO setting off auto in low light as it may jump up tp ISO 3200 which on a small sensor is very noisy/grainy. Run some tests and find a setting that best suits your taste and needs. Add lights if possible. I saw some fairly cheap add-on video lights on ebay that would greatly improve the low light performance and the image quality.

Cameras need light. That green night-vision stuff some cameras shoot may be cool but it is not going to make the family, etc., look its best. There's a reason the TV news crews and others have lights on their big expensive pro cameras for low light work, without them the quality suffers. Don't expect more from a consumer camera.

This Sanyo site has tips for a lot of situations. Sometimes the clips are choppy (busy server) so hit pause until it loads:

I think I have a cheap workable idea for adding a wide angle lens (or filters, etc.) to the HD700. If I can find a 37mm clear filter or step-up ring or something with 37mm threads (my WA lens is 37mm) locally I'll put it together and post what I did and some tests soon.

I was discussing ideas for adding a lens with a friend yesterday and he had another, not as easy to do and would kill the pocketcam feature, idea. I shot him as he was discussing it and slipped my 0.5x adapter over the lens while shooting. So, if you don't mind holding the lens in your hand, it works pretty well. Also, not shown, but the HD700's 5x zoom range works with the WA lens. It's the Wide Angle Adapter clip:
