i'm uncertain about something and need some assistance...

i got my 0.6X wide angle lens from B and H Photo.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...e_Adapter.html

they also have this one in stock:

what's the diffrence between the two...

is 1.4X wider than 0.6X?

0.6 is wide angle

1.4 is longer zoom

the numbers are multipliers to your lens' focal lenght...

so if the lens is set at 100mm... it becomes 60mm with the wide angle adapter and 140mm with the telephoto adapter.

I had the kenko cheaplenses for my sony miniDV, the telephoto one was rubbish but the wide angle was ok, it came in useful but the quality of video was slightly degraded when used. I ended up sellling them when I sold my miniDV.

You get what you pay for!

Can anybody give advice on if its worth buying the Sanyo wide angle lens for $119 orthecheaplenses off ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/40-5mm-0-45X-Wid...QQcmdZViewItem

I dont want to pay $119 for a lens thats not a massive improvement over the cheaper lenses on ebay. I know the sanyo one will obviously be better but is it worth paying nearly 3 times the price?

As I mentioned I had the cheap kenko lenses for my mini dv and from reviews that I read the branded sony lenses were not much better than my cheap kenko ones. I want to pay for a lens, I dont want to be paying for a name!!!!

Any help appreciated
