I really think the ability to carry around an inexpensive external hard drive that I can dump recorded videos to is simply awesome. I can buy a 250gig Seagate drive from Newegg for $75 and it comes with it's own power supply (supposedly a requirement of the Xacti Library function). My question is rather silly as I think I already know the answer. The manual shows the process for transfering data to the hard drive and it says to connect to a TV. My question is... will it transfer without a TV connected? I figure it's silly... it should with no problem. But I wanted to make sure I can still transfer with nothing else but the drive attached before I went and bought one. When traveling I won't always be able to hookup a TV so I just wanted to be extra sure. Thanks in advance to whomever can answer this.

I am sure you do not need a tv but lets see as i am in hand to test it out now

the sanyo must be powered cannot use battery

opened first the screenthen add to the cradle

have the ac plug in the cradle, have the small adaptor in the cradle that goes to the library, it is a extension.

then turn on cam sit back and enjo the moment:blah:
