the review states 'There is no burst mode, so you will have to be able to live with a shot to shot delay of just over 2 seconds without the flash and 2.3 with the flash'

There is a burst mode on it...... its not in any way fantastic but you can take a few pictures in quick succession. Cant remeber how many per second but it was good when I tested it.

actually here it is
[*]Burst mode:7fps 4MP photos (max of 7 per burst) [/*]

Wow, great review! I love my HD1000 and think those that rate it poorly either expected way too much from it or didn't try it out long enough.

One question though... is the shoe really a hot shoe? I thought it was a cold shoe.

The shoe is cold as ice! It's metal, but there isn't a second contact.

Yes, the HD1000 does feature a burst mode. This was a mistake by our reviewer. We will be updating the conclusion as soon as he can get some timing test using the burst feature.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the test!

I would like to see some macros with this camera.

The E6 was great in extreme macros! - example:

Who is first?

Here is the 1st video I ever uploaded and spent very little time editing. I sent it to my flickr photo page. I downloaded it from the xacti 1000 to my older 1st gen mac book pro. Edited on Quicktime pro and then saved to desktop at about 30 MB., and uploaded to flicker.

One quick question - what size is the mic socket? Am I right to assume standard Mic size?
