Hi everyone

Do you know where I can find the HD1010 firmware (.bin file) ?
I make a mistake using mine !!!

Or has someone made a backup of his HD1010 firmware for instance ?

Thanks for your answers.

Not sure if it's even live on their site. You'll probably need to go through Sanyo's support channels to get it.

Hi, the support doesn't accept to send me the firmware
The hotline assistant tell me the the rules are straight and he can't give me the bin file !

If someone could send me an export of his HD1010 bin firmware, it will be an angel for me ! My HD1010 Camcorder is (probably) not died !

Thanks

A user on Vimeo, Zatro Vetrov had posted the updated firmware he received from Sanyo. It's here:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ENDQTGOU

After putting in the code and clicking download file it will make you wait something like 60 seconds before the download starts. This firmware supposedly completely resolves the issue. I don't have the HD2000 but was reading about this and came along it so figured I'd share it here.

This firmware is supposedly for the HD2000, will it work for the HD1010?

Whoops, my bad. No, it's for the HD2000. For some reason I misread the thread title. Sorry about that.

what we need is someone with a broken hd1010 to test with the hd2000 firmware. What could possibly go wrong go wrong go wrong!

What is it with these camera manufacturers? They seem to be inconsistent with their release of firmware. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

I guess they're worried about incompetent people. So how else do you upgrade your firmware? You would have to send it in!

Why not just give the firmware out with the caveat that if you brick it you'll *then* have to send it in and pay for it, since you'd have to do that anyway although I always wonder why devices are brickable in the first place. Surely with some kind of bootstrap ROM that never gets overwritten, that should prevent that. I am guessing the reason is that considering the number of times a device is updated in it's lifetime the extra expense is not justified.
