Default Sanyo HD 2000 as WebCam?

Is it possible to use the Sanyo HD 2000 as a WebCam?

Thanks Robert

Yes, you can. Use the USB cable to connect the docking station to the PC and the USB Connection screen will appear. You can then select PC Camera as one of the options under Computer. I have not used it myself but others have confirmed that it works.

No. I can only hear audio, no video. Both window XP and window 7 behaved the same. I just sent an email to sanyo support.

When using Windows Media Encoder I was able to capture video from the Sanyo HD2000 when in webcam mode. The resolution it outputs seems to be 720 x 480 or something... Not really a standard resolution for webcams but more for standard SD recordings. Maybe the software you use isn't happy with the resolution?
I seem to remember that the Windows Explorer preview was also not always displaying.
