Default Sanyo HD1010 LCD Screen

Hello...I have been trying to find if there is a way to clear all the clutter on the LCD screen when u take a picture or shoot video..I mean like the #pics..and the other stuff so u see somewhat of a blank screen when framing picture in LCD..Thanks

Have you gone into the menu/display info and selected off? I just tried it and it really didn't change things.

Mine did not change either..Wonder if this one of the glitches they are talking about?Is there a Firmware upgrade that might remedy this problem??Any help would be appreciated..Thanks

This refers to the HD2000 but it may also be applicable for the HD1010. You can choose to have a clean screen while in the idle state by setting the DISP. ON/OFF options to one of the Shortcut keys. My latest post in the HD2000 Blog has the details.

I can confirm what ronaldkwok says on my HD1010. I must confess, since it never bothered me, I never used it and thought the shortcut was the same function as INFO display but while INFO controls playback, the shortcut does indeed clear the LCD.

Of course you still get some info such as counter etc. reappear once you start recording.
