Default MAD!Sanyo Xacti CG-100

I recently bought this camera at a electronics store, but this is not related so I wont describe.

Today I decided to shoot some videos, so I did a test-run at home, but this is what it makes me angry.
I don't know why, but when zoomed to 3/4 of the zoom, the PHOTO one wont focus... and when zoomed to a near half of the bar, the video doesn't focus. I would like to know IF there is a fix, because definitely zoom is there for a purpose...

Perhaps helps reading of manual?
Most problem is behind camera ...

I think you get this problem because you have been on SUPER MACRO MODE
insn'it ?
on this mode you can only zoom a very few...

This one is demonstrationg the system of the "DOUBLE-RANGE" ZOOM
from CA100 and CG100.

IMPORTANT :
The double range zoom SWITCH BUTTON are not at the same place
depending cg100 or ca100.
