Default New VPC-GH3/4

I haven't pored over the specs with a fine tooth comb but on first site it seems the new one actually has reduced specs. ie it has a reduced megapixel count of 10.7 instead of the 14.4 of the original thus a very slight increase in low light sensitivity. Also the digital zoom is reduced to 10x from 12x:

I just received my gh4 in the mail from amazon today. $129.99 shipped. Battery's charging right now. Bought this to be a lightweight aerial photography camcorder. I also have the FH1, which doesn't do 720p60 and weighs almost 2x as much. Looking at the specs, the GH4 has a bigger sensor vs the FH1. Curiously, it's the same sensor size as the GH1, but with less megapixel count.

The lens on the gh series is less special than that of the FH. The gh4 does have all the manual settings of the FH, as well as that color-picker focus thing.

Should be a nice compromise.

Impressed with the stabilization on the gh4. It won't make movement still, but works well holding zoom relatively steady. Lot better than the FH1.
