Default Xacti VPC CA-100 HD playback troubles

I have read a lot reviews about this camera and decided to try it out. Well I just bought one and and I'm already having trouble with the video playback. I had a CA-9 until the wife broke it, and I did not have this problem with that camera.

Well, my MP4 player is unable to play the recorded videos on my typical MP4 player. The player on my wife's computer does play the video, however, it only plays random frames and is extremely jumpy or jerky. I attempted to convert the videos to either AVI or WMV with various output settings and qualities. None of the converted videos result in a successful, flowing video. I'm not sure what is going on and I'm hoping someone on here can help out.

Thanks in advance!!!

Adam

Going from 720p to 1080p requires a significant jump in processing power and video hardware acceleration is an ABSOLUTE MUST! You need more processing horsepower in order to play back 1080p video smoothly.

I thought something like that might be the case. But then again, when I recorded in HD with my last CA-9 I didn't have this problem. I don't get why when I try to convert the MP4 to a WMV at a lower quality that it still does this.

What kind of processing power am I looking for?
