My C6 has a few that are noticeable on bright pictures, and has tons of dead pixels that are noticable in low light. My wife didn't care and didn't want to be without her xmas present for a long time. She loves her c6. I got it from overseas so I didn't want to exchange it and my wife be unhappy.
If it was my c6 I would have.

Bob:

"tons of dead pixels noticeable in low light":

Are you seeing "grains" typically present in low light and high ISO, or are you really seeing "dead pixels"?

"Tons" of dead pixels seems a little overwhelming!!

Hi,
They are indeed dead pixels. They don't move with the picture.
I'm not sure if they are dead, or just inactive in low light. Bright or outdoor video seems to look fine.
I took some frame grabs from a mp4.
Here they are.

You definitely seem to have quite a bit of dead pixel. The best way to count them for sure is to take a high res picture with the lens cap on. On the two pictures you postedI counted over 10.

On high res fixed images in bright light , they would be hardly noticeable, but on video (moving images), the constant color of a dead pixel becomes much more noticeable.

If you can you should definitely have the camera replaced.

while i was looking on steve's sample pictures in the C6 review, i noticed a few dead pixels, one is very clear on the bottom rightcornerof the indoor pictures and in some outdoor also. It looks like lot of C6 got dead pixels, poor quality sensor ??? does anyone know if it can befixed by Sanyo service repair shop or other photo shops ?
