Hello. Could anyone enlighten me on the options?

I was taking a video with the Xacti when the battery died. I had no worries at the time because with other devices, the last thing they did before turning off was save the file in progress. When I looked at the Xacti's SD card content using Windows Explorer and on the camera playback mode, it wasn't there. There is a sequential numbering gap where that file should be, eg. SANY005, SANY006, SANY008, etc. I changed the battery and continued to use afterwards.

I transferred all the other files (using Windows) and I know from experience exactly what record time a blank SD card should display on the HD1's display. The total length record time on the SD card is reduced by 8 minutes . That suggests something is still there occupying space. From recollection, 8 minutes is about the length of the video before the battery died.

As usual, official customer support call center wasn't very helpful.

I have used a memory card photo recovery software before but that one was just for still image files.
