I'm glad you like it.

Yes, a Sunpak 544 is a great choice in a lightweight, non-dedicated handle mount flash. I'd also look at a Metz 45-CL1 in a hammerhead type flash (you can find these at...

My brother-in-law still hasn't had a change to bring his meter by. But, yes, I would think that it work fine with most strobes as long as the trigger voltage is low enough (and if not, I'd try Wein...

Either find a Minolta PCT-100 on Ebay (it converts the hotshoe to a PC Sync Port), or buy a third party adapter like this one. There's a PC sync port...

The Hong Kong based vendor selling that 3rd party adapter has a very good reputation (100% positive feedback with over 22,000 transactions). ;-)

I've got one of them.

But, if a genuine FS-1100...

Shri

Out of curiousity, what brand of trigger did you try to use?

I've seen multiple reports of triggers working via an FS-1100 (both Pocket Wizards, and radio triggers bought for $19 on Ebay)....

Unless you use manual power settings, there is a always a preflash with the Sony dedicated strobes for this model.

There is also a preflash with the KM 2500(D), 3600HS (D) and 5600HS (D), unless...
