Does anyone know if the Sigma Mirror telephoto 600mm F8 lens will work with the sigma APO 2x Tele converter? It doesn't seem like Sigma lists the lens on thier website

I have one of those lenses and I cant imagine why it would not work with any camera. It is after all a totally passive device, it has no focus or aperture controls and does noinformation exchange with the camera.

Will you need of course the correct camera fitting on the lens.

It will, as Scooptdoo said, be rather dark in the view finder at an effective f1:16 or so.

John Hill : few years ago I send information about the pic. when use mirrow lens 500 mm f.8. In thath time I try with 1.4x teleconverter and work very good. But remember, only in M and a lot of light. from Panama, Carlitin

That is because this lens has been discontinued and is no longer current..

Is there more than one of these Sigma lenses? I have one and it focuses from a !:3 macro setting at 6 feet all the way to infinity by turning the barrel a full 225 degrees. It is of course strictly manual with a fixed aperture of f8. It is a filter-matic lens with a non-interchangeable fixed mount (Pentax bayonet and was available in other mounts) and is not a T-mount.

Uh oh! I hope I did not give the wrong impression there, when I said it has no focus or aperture controls I was meaning controls that the camera can operate! It has no aperture control and focus is via a manual ring. Sorry for any confusion.
