Default stabilized sigma 50-150 2.8

sigma

Anybody get their hands on one of these yet? I had read rave reviews about its predecessor but now it's also stabilized.

nope not in the the US yet, and most likely will be delay a bit. The 85 1.4 took almost a year to hit the stores. Hopefully this lens will not take as long, but I think we will still have a wait with what is going on in Japan.

Sigma may be balking on this lens entirely, have read that it is 2 inches longer than unstabilized predecessor, making it as long as the 70-200, and heavier. Rumor that it will never come out in US at all. Anyone else have info to share?

I may just save my coins for a Nikon D7000 or D400? instead.
