I have just purchased the Sigma SD10 and notice that while shooting in low
light conditions at ISO 800 there's evidence of colour banding in the image
and blotches, the general noise isn't a problem but the colour banding is
noticeable. Does Sigma intend to release any new firmware updates or
Software updates to address these issues.

Amongst the forums I get the impression Sigma may drop the SD cameras all
together, is this true or just rumours.?

Got this reply.

Thank you for your email regarding your SD10. We would only recommend you use
800 iso unless absolutely necessary as, as you have noticed, the image quality
does suffer.

Keep an eye on our website for firmware updates.

Regarding the future of the SD system whilst we cannot confirm details of new
products we will continue to produce new digital cameras.

Kind Regards

Sigma UK Ltd

Looks like there may be more to come, finger's crossed.

cheers

Mart.
