This little Golden Mantled Ground Squirrel was enjoying peanuts compliments of backpackers. He sat on this rock with a peanut and surveyed his kingdom overlooking the Estes Valley (Estes Park, Colorado) about 1,000 feet below.

SD10 - Sigma 80-400OS @250mm F5.6 1/100th ISO 100

Love the shot. Too bad you could not get a more frontal view.

I really like the shots you take with the Sigma.

Thanks! I managed to get several from the front, but this one had a nice backdrop and I liked his pose.
