I love these images. Just incredible! Can I ask - are these hand held or tripod/monopod? Is this OS technology that good?

thanks,
Bob

Hi Bob,

They're all hand held - I rarely use a tripod or monopod for wildlife, just too much to carry it all.

The OS technology is very good - assuming you have good technique and a normal nervous system you can sometimes handhold at 400mm to around 1/50th, but average would be more like 1/125th. It's definitely great for non moving subjects.

Best regards,

Lin

Thank you for the information - it helps me with my research of this lense. Actually I was thinking that Sigma should supply you with gear for free so people can see what it is capable of in the hands of a for real photographer. Gives a guy like me something to strive for .

thanks again,
Bob
